History

After living in Austin and visiting art shows, vintage shops, City Wide Garage Sale, food trailers, and countless fun venues it occurred to us - wouldn't it be cool if you could do ALL of that in one place?

There.  The concept for the Flea was born.  Well, there may have been several visits to the amazing Brooklyn Flea over the past couple of years that contributed, too.  We figured that if Brooklyn could do it, so could we.

We may not always have all of those aspects at every Flea, but there will be some combo of the above mentioned.  It's really very Austin in a nutshell - casual, creative, and fun.  That's what we're all looking for, right?

The Austin Flea has been featuring local, handmade, and vintage vendors in Austin since 2009, and even lived in a few iterations a few years before that.  We've been fortunate to have had some of the most amazing talent be part of the Flea.  Here's a look back at some of our Flea posters.

And from way back...
